Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981 and a board member of the SSC's Board of Directors since 2011, was the founding co-artistic director of Speech of Fire. While serving as SSC's Artistic Director, Lauren Ash-Morgan also served in the capacities of producer costume/set designers composer/music directors as well as text coaches. While she was usually the leader of the group of actors, at the end of her time, she made her first appearance as director (and Lighting Designer) in the SSC's King Lear.
