Lauren and Markie
Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981 and a board member of the SSC's Board of Directors since 2011, was the founding co-artistic director of Speech of Fire. While serving as SSC's Artistic Director, Lauren Ash-Morgan also served in the capacities of producer costume/set designers composer/music directors as well as text coaches. While she was usually the leader of the group of actors, at the end of her time, she made her first appearance as director (and Lighting Designer) in the SSC's King Lear. In addition to acting, she has also worked on a number of game series. The daughter of the scientist Richard F. Post and his poet wife Marylee Post was raised in Walnut Creek and Stanford alongside her siblings. She studied at Las Lomas High School where she participated in cheerleading. She did a brief stint at Pomona College. The previous marriage she had was to Stephen Knox. Michael A. Ross (actor/writer) is Post's husband since 1982. They have two daughters.
