Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was a television personality, a ex-chef of the Institute of Culinary Education and formerly teaches cooking. Anne Burrell. Burrell hosts on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for Food Network. Food Network, as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her trademark spiky blond tresses and pumped-up persona on the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares simple and easy to master cooking techniques that are suitable for the home cook. Chef Burrell is also a part of several of the most prestigious restaurants within New York, studied the food culture and culinary traditions of Italy as well as competed in Food Network's Iron Chef America. When she was a kid in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. The Culinary Institute of America is where she went after earning an English degree and a Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was where I had the most fun time of my life. It was difficult to master how to do, or even work hard enough. After graduation, chef Burrell spent a time in Italy attending Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. In Italy she gained an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian cuisine and its culture. This will have a significant impact on how Burrell approaches her cuisine. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador for the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She also is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board, which helps kids who have challenges. As a guest speaker and teacher, she travels around the United States to discuss her passion for cooking as well as her profession. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate that I could communicate her love of cooking to other people.
